Rivers State, Nigeria, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – The Clinical Pharmacists Association of Nigeria (CPAN) is set to hold its first annual scientific conference from May 16th to May 20th, 2023 at the Watbridge Hotel and Suites in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The theme of the conference is “Healthcare in the 21st Century: Prospects of Clinical Pharmacy Practice in Nigeria.”
The conference will be a platform for clinical pharmacists, healthcare professionals, scholars and students to meet and discuss the latest trends and developments in healthcare in Nigeria. There will be keynote speakers, expert panel discussions and presentations covering a range of topics related to healthcare in the 21st century, including the prospects of clinical pharmacy practice in Nigeria.
The special guest of honour at the conference is His Excellency, Mr Udom Emanuel, Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
One unique feature of the conference will be a first-of-its-kind hands-on training on clinical skills for interested pharmacists at a subsidised fee. This will provide an opportunity for pharmacists to improve their skills and knowledge of modern pharmacy practices, and network with peers in the industry.
“We are excited to hold this conference to bring together clinical pharmacists and stakeholders in the healthcare industry to share best practices and knowledge,” said Dr Joseph Madu, the National Chairman of the Clinical Pharmacists Association of Nigeria. “We believe that this conference will help to promote the growth and development of clinical pharmacists in Nigeria, as we seek to provide a platform for our members to improve their skills and knowledge of the industry.”
